  My daughter attended SCEGGS for 6 years from year 7-year 12 and I couldn't let the other reviews go without presenting another perspective. Sure not all the teachers are perfect but compared to other schools I know (my other children attended 2 other schools secondary schools - 2 private and one NSW State) the majority of teachers are well qualified and really cared about the education and well-being of my daughter. Neither of the other schools asked my boys, on an annual basis, to provide their teachers with anonymous feedback. And what's more, as a parent, I was asked to complete a survey every 2 years that gave me an opportunity to tell Jenny Allum the principal what I thought of the school and the teachers - neither of the other schools every did that.
  
  All this tells me that SCEGGS is a school that is working with students and parents to improve and is not resting on it's laurels - which it could well do given that, in a recent Australian Newspaper article SCEGGS, was in the top 50 schools in Australia for english, and maths based on the MySchools website results for 2009.
